This is my first foray into the Monochrome Madness Challenge. The topic is Minimalism.
I tend to be long-winded but in keeping with the topic, I’ll keep my comments to a
mimimum.

All three images above and the banner image were taken during COVID, when going out meant
the backyard.

This week’s host is PR from Flights of the Soul.
I like these very much. Your eye has selected the unusual and the interesting to showcase, eliminating the extraneous.

Hi Margaret.
Thank you for visiting and commenting. During COVID, my eye was bored and discovered our rotting fence (which has been replaced) and the garden.

Hi Paul,
Your mono turns the mundane into art. Hotel Leonardo is my fave here, like an optical illusion when I stare at it for too long.

Welcome to Monochrome Madness 😀 And a great post in which to join us! Your first Covid-era shots are especially good – I love the use of the shallow depth of field and the way you’ve captured the textures.

Great shots, Paul 😀! It’s wonderful what one can find when confronted with restrictions – as you’ve shown with the first 3 images. I like the rusty nail and cactus needles. The architecture images are nice as well. Thanks for joining in the Monochrome Madness challenge!

Amazing black and whites Paul. My favorites: Porshe Museum, San Francisco and Vienna.

Hello Anne. Thank you so much. The Porshe Musuem is a fascinating structure. Lots of angles and mirrored surfaces.

I’m enjoying the single rusty nail the best.

That old fence was pretty good for some interesting shots. Not so much for keeping the pets in and the critters out.
Thank you for reading and commenting.
