This week Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge is: Anything to do with cars and trucks.
Most of the images in this submission were taken at the Rodeo, California, Chili Cook-Off and Car Show last autumn. For a different take I concentrated on one of the features that’s a hallmark of vintage American cars – chrome.

Nice! When I was young there was a great distinction between American cars and our European ones. Especially the size! 🙂 Nowadays I don’t see many old chevy’s, el camino’s or buicks anymore, but if I do, there’s always a big smile on my face.
I always wanted an El Camino. When I was in high school I had a Chevy Nova that I wish I’d kept. I think that’s the way it is with a lot of guys my age, thinking back to the cars of our teens and twenties and wishing we’d had the foresight to hold on to them.
I’m happy that I did finally manage to get a muscle car even if it took me till I was in my sixties.

Thank you. I’ll bet the owner wouldn’t like the close up of that bumper showing the nicks in the chrome. I think the nicks look like a meteor shower and are pretty cool.

Thank you. I should do stuff so early in the morning. Lol. They were actually taken at a car auction which took place on site at a persons house. Super random. My husband went for the auction and I went for the photos.
